- Dr. Andreas Vente is a co-founder and with the company since 2000
- Before becoming Managing Director in 2009, he was a member of the Executive Board, Head of project management and responsible for non-clinical and clinical development
- Prior to that, he was Head of the Laboratories of the RZPD German Resource Center for Genome Research GmbH
- Earlier, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the ETH, Zürich and the German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg
- Dr. Vente obtained an MSc in Biology from the University of Cologne, Germany, in 1992 and a doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Cologne, in 1996
