MerLion Pharmaceuticals Pte Ltd was formed in 2002 through the privatisation of the former Centre for Natural Product Research (CNPR), a unit of Singapore’s Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB). MerLion Pharma acquired all of CNPR’s assets, including its unique collection of natural product samples and has since procured additional natural product libraries to establish a collection unparalleled in geographic and taxonomic diversity, giving the Company a significant competitive edge.
