MerLion Research has extensive experience performing high throughput screens with natural product samples to the highest industrial standards. The Discovery Biology team has been responsible for the transfer, validation and screening of over 140 biological targets in all formats from simple in vitro screens to functional G-protein coupled receptor assays using state-of-the-art FLIPR tetra™ technology. The HTS laboratories are fully equipped for all common assay types, with laboratory automation for 96-well and low volume 384-well microtitre plate formats. For cell based/phenotypic screening a suite of BSL-2 facilities allows for the cultivation and screening of mammalian cell lines and pathogenic bacterial and fungal strains.
