Service Details: MerLion’s natural product extract libraries and compounds are available for screening at MerLion. Additionally, we are able to screen samples (pure compounds or extracts) which are provided by the customer.
A wide variety of screening assays can be transferred and undertaken at MerLion. All screens are validated for screening against natural product samples before commencement of HTS and strict Quality Control procedures, including scrutiny of screening data using Spotfire visualisation software, are implemented throughout the screen to ensure high quality data.
After confirmation of activity, natural product hit samples are deconvoluted at MerLion to reveal the active chemistry and pure compounds isolated for further analyses. MerLion are world-leaders in Natural Product Chemistry and have developed rapid and sensitive methods to identify known natural product compounds in complex mixtures and hence, prioritise samples for deconvolution.
Deliverables: Regular written reports and provision of purified hit compounds (as required).
